Application history
The glazed roof in the form in which we see it today was the idea of a Finnish architect at the beginning of the 20th century. Alvara Aalto. This is his own development, with which he went down in history.
The inspiration and example for innovative ideas of a bold architect was medieval architects, who used glass windows with sacred images to build religious churches. But then the main goal was aesthetics, but now it is successfully complemented by the practicality of the structure.
